About me

Dr. Kuan-Yi Wu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech). He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Chemistry from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. To broaden his international academic experience, he joined the Department of Polymer Science at the University of Akron (USA) as a visiting scholar. Before entering academia, Dr. Wu worked as a Research Scientist at the R&D Center of Far Eastern New Century Corp., Taiwan, where he gained valuable industrial experience in advanced fiber and polymer materials. He then continued his academic journey as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center, focusing on multi-scale structural characterization. From 2021 to 2023, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering at Chinese Culture University, further strengthening his expertise in functional fibers and advanced materials. In 2023, he joined Taipei Tech, where he now leads a research group dedicated to advanced fiber materials, hierarchical self-assembly, and multi-scale characterization, targeting applications in energy harvesting, storage, sensing, and wearable electronics.
